Would You Like To Be A Room Parent?
Come join the fun in your child’s classroom! This year our Room Parents will have different, yet important, roles in our classrooms and we need YOUR help! You can volunteer to be a Room Parent whether your child is learning In-Person or Virtually. Being a Room Parent is a wonderful way to be closely involved with your child’s class. There will be 2 room parents per class. This year there will be no parties, no food or treats, or class-wide celebrations due to the split schedules and the social distancing recommendations for the health and safety of all of our students.
Room Parent Responsibilities include:
~Be available for the entirety of the 2020-2021.
~Work collaboratively with the Teacher, the other Room Parent, the Chairperson and the PTO Executive Board.
~Virtually attend the introductory Room Parent Meeting.
~Contact and coordinate with other parents in the class to include as many of them as possible in class happenings.
~Work with the other same-grade room parents to ensure consistency between classes within the grade.
~Contact the parents in your class via email or phone when requested by the Teacher, the PTO Executive Board, or the Room Parent Coordinator.
There will be two Room Parents per class. If you have more than one child you may request to be a room parent for each child, however you will not be chosen for more than one. If you have a preference, please indicate 1st choice, 2nd choice etc. Room parents are carefully assigned to ensure fairness and this process is closely monitored by the PTO Executive Board.
If you have any questions, please email Cassandra Beer at [email protected]
If you feel that this would be a great way to become more involved with your child’s classroom, and a way to help our PTO enhance the educational experience of all of our students, be sure to complete the form below!
